San Giovanni al Monte is the classic tour for experienced riders exploring the hinterland above Arco. The climb passes through medieval villages of Varignano, Tenno and the evocative Canale di Tenno with its emerald lake, before reaching Malga San Giovanni at 1,112 m where the landscape opens onto the Brenta Dolomites and all of Garda Trentino. The technical descent is one of the most rewarding in the area.
